A Brand New Serial Novel from Alexander McCall Smith!
Polygon, in conjunction with Little, Brown and Telegraph.co.uk, are delighted to announce a brand new serial novel from Alexander McCall Smith.
Called Corduroy Mansions, the novel will be available uniquely on telegraph.co.uk/onlinenovel, the UK national newspaper’s website, and via simultaneous podcasts narrated by Andrew Sachs, downloadable from iTunes. A hardback book of the series will be published by Polygon in July 2009.
‘Over the last five years I have come to realise how enjoyable it is to write a daily serial novel for a newspaper,’ Alexander McCall Smith commented, ‘I am particularly pleased to be starting a new one for the website of the Daily Telegraph. Corduroy Mansions will be written as it is published, giving readers the opportunity to influence what happens in the story. I can't wait to begin.’
The story, set in London, will depict the lives of the various inhabitants of a large Pimlico house. Corduroy Mansions goes live at www.telegraph.co.uk/onlinenovel on Monday 15 September 2008.
