Glen Michael’s autobiography, Life’s a Cavalcade, was launched at the STV studios in Glasgow last month. In attendance were Muriel Gray, Film Producer Angus Lamont and Writer and Producer Mark Millar who also wrote the introduction to Glen’s book.

But of course the guests of honour included Paladin the Lamp, Totty the Robot and Sylvester the Cat, stars of the long-running Glen Michael’s Cartoon Cavalcade. Glen also appeared on the 5.30pm STV news for a short interview, where he revealed his real age – a youthful 82 – and the secret of Paladin’s voice… which was Glen himself talking into a metal dustbin all along!
In other news, Glen Michael is about to make his Hollywood debut opposite Nicolas Cage in Mark Millar’s brand new film, Kick-Ass. Mark Millar also attended the launch at the STV studios (Pictured here with Glen Michael).

Kick Ass is about an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training. The film is based on a book written by Millar and is produced by him, Matthew Vaughn and Brad Pitt.
We’ll all look forward to spotting Glen on the big screen in August 2009.
