Following the successful sales of Kiss Her Goodbye, Rotbuch Verlag, a German publisher, has finalised a major deal for a further three titles, to publish one a year from now until 2010. Allan’s books are now available in five foreign languages.

Last year Allan won the prestigious Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award for his first book Two-way Split, competing against well-known crime writers such as Ian Rankin, Christopher Brookmyre and Stuart MacBride. Earlier this year the American edition of his third novel, Hard Man, won a Spinetingler Award for best novel from a new voice.

Allan's new novel, Savage Night, will also be translated into German by Rotbuch Verlag.
