Katherine Campbell was awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ for her book The Fiddle in Scottish Culture (John Donald) at the Michaelis-Jena Ratcliffe Prize ceremony last week. The Michaelis-Jena Ratcliff Prize was established through an endowment by the late Ruth Michaelis-Jena, and is awarded annually for an important contribution by an individual to the study of Folklore or Folklife in Great Britain and Ireland.
